If, for instance, one molecule sticks to another really fast, it could mean that they like each other a lot and fit well together. Conversely, if they take a longer time to interlock together, it might be that they don’t interlock as tightly and they provide a weaker bond. This real-time observation teaches scientists more about how molecules behave in various scenarios.
